Founded in 1955, Sochut sanatorium used to be a health resort for children with chronic lung diseases. The resort used to have an all-union importance due to the fact that the children passed comprehensive medical examinations and received treatment without getting interrupted from the learning process. Dendropark
Dendropark is definitely one of the most gorgeous places to visit during your stay at Sochut resort. The most beautiful botanical garden of Armenia, Dendropark is officially named after Edmon Leonovich, a Polish forestry engineer who founded it in 1931.
The botanical garden covers about 35 hectares, consisting of natural forest, linden orchards and more than 500 rare species of plants. Being located at an altitude of 1,400 meters above the sea level, it is truly one of a kind. Dendropark features a splendid arcade of roses, Californian sequoias, flowing brooks and majestic evergreen trees. The site is a Special Protected Area since 1998.
